You’ve gotten a million and one well-wishes, you picked a date and now you need to find an answer to the “where” question. Back in the day, the decision was easy – couples chose the one and only wedding venue in their hometown and that task was crossed off the list. But today, the possibilities are endless so there’s a lot of researching and planning that goes into selecting a space. While we can’t tell you exactly where to book, we can let you in on a few tips, like the best times to book your wedding, for example:

First, consider this…

You’re going to need to reserve a number of services in addition to the venue – a photographer, a caterer, a makeup artist, etc. and the longer you wait to book them, the more difficult it will be to gather them on the same day. With that said, we recommend starting your research at least a year in advance.

Then, consider this…

There are certain months of the year that a considered “peak” wedding season. Generally speaking, the spring season and the fall season are the most expensive with June and September being the most “ideal” months for a wedding. With that said, if you’re looking to save a few bucks you’ll be better off scheduling your wedding for the winter or summer. Just keep in mind that December tends to be an expensive month as well with holiday celebrations taking place.

So, is there one definitive answer for when you should absolutely book your wedding? No. However, the climate plays a major role so keep that in mind while doing your research.
