Find yourself pouring a 3rd, 4th or 5th cup of coffee throughout the day? Have trouble focusing after lunch? Ready for a nap by 2pm? The struggle is real!

We all know how difficult it can be to make it through any given work day, but there are a few ways to fight back. The main idea is to focus on getting more vitamin B and protein and we hope this list of power foods will make your day a bit more bearable:

Quinoa is rich in amino acids and has more protein than standard grains. It’s also packed with magnesium, phosphorus, manganese, and folate, which is just about guaranteed to provide that extra boost.

Chia seeds have a nice mix of protein, good fats and fiber and since they’re low in carbs, it’s a good ingredient to keep handy. They can also help diminish those cravings for unhealthy foods and snacks.

Lentils’ high fiber content helps with your blood sugar levels, making sure to keep energy levels sustained.

Beans will provide you the energy you need to keep going through the day. They’re high in protein which keeps your blood sugar levels steady. The carbohydrates found in beans also provide an additional source of energy.

Tuna fish and most fish for that matter, is loaded with protein and vitamin B.

Eggs are also high in protein, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats which are both good for your heart. They also give you energy and help prevent overeating.

Fruit, such as bananas and apples, is an excellent way to start – or brighten your day. Quite frankly, fruit is refreshing and it’s also loaded with vitamins and nutrients. Just be careful because fruits are often high in sugar.

Now head over to the kitchen and try out some of the items listed above. Make it through the day feeling great? You can thank us later!
