Pumpkin beers are making their way to taps across the area, fall-inspired dishes are coming to menus near you and fall is fast approaching. We love this time of year here at DSC, and with the leaves beginning to change and temperatures starting to drop there are lots of magnificent places in New York and Connecticut to enjoy fall foliage. We’ve put together a quick guide below:

If you live in New York or have traveled there during the fall season you know how beautiful the views can be. We highly recommend taking a trip to the Adirondack or Catskill regions to get a glimpse of the foliage during the last two weeks of September. And if you can’t get there by then, don’t worry you can head over to the Southern Hudson Valley region where the foliage peaks the last two weeks of October.

And while you’re there, be sure to check out some of the local restaurants to treat your taste buds to some of the best beers and fall-themed dishes around!

In Connecticut, some points of interest include Kent Falls State Park in the Litchfield area, the Waterbury Area Loop and the Last Green Valley Scenic Byway near Mystic. Craving a delicious cup of coffee on a cool fall morning? Check out Kent Coffee and Chocolate Co. on Main Street in Kent and if you’re looking for a great friendly hangout with live music, check out The Stomping Ground in Putnam.
