Autumnal Appetizer Ideas For A Cocktail Party
Cooler weather is making its way into town and there certainly isn’t any shortage of flavors to go around this season. Whether you’re throwing a Halloween bash, a Friendsgiving party or simply want to get the family together for a much-needed night of catching up or planning for the holidays, these autumnal finger foods will certainly be a hit:
You’ve probably had bacon-wrapped scallops at a party in the recent past, but swapping out the seafood for the “land food” falls a bit more in line with autumn. Simply wrap brussels sprouts in thick cut bacon and roast them in the oven. You can even add a dash of maple seasoning on top to really bring out the true flavors of fall.
There’s something about a sweet, soft fig that gets our juices flowing during the fall. Stuff them with goat cheese, blue cheese or ricotta cheese and bake them in the oven for 15 minutes — that’s all it takes to prepare this luxe hors d’oeuvre.
This recipe calls for roasted grapes, lemon ricotta cheese and honey. Pile all three on top of toasted bite-sized breads and voila. That’s all there is to it and we’d be lying if we said our mouths weren’t watering already.
Would it really be fall without having pumpkin making its way into the menu? Pumpkin hummus served with soft pita bread or crispy pita chips will likely become a new favorite. You can even sprinkle a bit of cinnamon on top of the dip if you’re feeling extra festive.
