He may not be the face of the company here at DSC, but we certainly wouldn’t be where we are today without him! DSC has a long history of community outreach and support. We love the spirit and generosity that our very own community displays, and we couldn’t be happier that our Chef lives right here in Ridgefield.

So, who is the guy who makes all of the magic come to life behind the kitchen doors?

Brian Bender is the Executive Chef at David’s Soundview Catering in Stamford, Connecticut and he’s quite the talented individual.

After earning a restaurant and hotel management degree from City College of San Francisco in 1990, Brian solidified his foundation with a Culinary Arts degree from The Culinary Institute of America in 1994.

Before owning his own restaurant and catering company, Chef Brian sharpened his
knives and skills in some of the finest kitchens in the country, including The Ritz Carlton Mauna
Lani, Crabtree’s Kittle House in Chappaqua NY, La Reserve and The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Trust us when we tell you his resume doesn’t disappoint!

In addition to working in some of the finest commercial kitchens, Brian was also a personal chef for a high net worth family in Westchester County for 5 years. Yes, he’s done it all!

What else is on his list of accomplishments? Chef Brian owned and operated The Cutting Board Café and Catering in Ridgefield from 2008-2014.

Brian currently lives in Ridgefield with his wife Rachel and their daughters Marley and Talia.
