What’s better than a juicy cheeseburger during the summer? A juicy cheeseburger accompanied by a toppings bar for your Labor Day Weekend bash, of course! If you’re hosting a backyard BBQ to send summer off with a bang, you’ve got to try this burger bar idea. Your guests will be singing your praises.

Step 1: Find out how many quests will be a definite this weekend. Then buy enough ground beef so everyone can have at least two burgers (depending on how big you’d like to make them). Trust us, with these burger-topping combinations it’s going to difficult to eat just one!

Step 2: Create burgers patties out of the ground beef. You may want to weigh them to make sure they’re all just about the same size and we recommend seasoning them with kosher salt and black pepper just before you put them on the grill.

Step 3: Come up with toppings and condiments. We suggest lettuce, tomatoes, slice red onion, pickles, bacon, mushrooms, jalapenos, a variety of cheeses, honey dijon mustard, creamy chimichurri, mayo, sriracha mayo, ketchup, spicy mustard and barbecue sauce. Separate each topping into a bowl for your guests to create their own burger.

Step 4: If you’re up to it, serve the sauces and condiments in squeeze bottles. Label each with the name of the condiment by using masking tape and a marker.

Step 5: Enjoy one (or more) of the best burgers you’ve ever had!
