They did the mash. They did the monster mash! The zombies were having fun, the party had just begun. Well, the all of that fun can quickly turn into utter chaos and put a major damper on the zombies’ night if you make any of these scary Halloween party mistakes:

1. The Kids Get A Hold Of The Punch: plan on making a “bloody” good adult Halloween punch? Be sure to keep it out of reach of all children. It may look appetizing to them too and the last thing you need is a child slurping up a cocktail.

2. That Fake Knife Wasn’t Actually Fake: let’s face it, weapons and sharp objects are Halloween staples, but please make sure all of your decorations are fake. Things can quickly turn south if a guest thinks they’re playing with a plastic knife, when in reality it’s a kitchen knife.

3. You Forgot The Pumpkin Bread In The Oven: if you decide to cook anything yourself during the party, set a few reminders for yourself to check on it periodically. It can be easy to fall into a deep conversation and forget you had something in the oven or on the stove.

4. Fido Clawed His Way Into The Candy: is it really a Halloween party if there isn’t candy everywhere you turn? Just remember that candy, chocolate in particular, is very bad for pets so be sure to keep it in places they won’t be able to reach.

Wishing you a very happy and safe Halloween from your friends at DSC!
