Consider yourself a culinary connoisseur? Why not spread the love with your children? There’s no reason they can’t help you prepare for your next dinner party, backyard gathering or holiday feast! As school comes to a close throughout Connecticut, children of all ages will be looking forward to their next adventure. Why not sign them up for a cooking class or camp this summer?

1. Bishops Orchards, Guilford: Bishops Orchards in Guilford has announced Summer Camp Programs for kids, a brand new program they’ve implemented this year! The summer is broken down into four two day long sessions, for a total of 8 days, where kids can explore a different farm theme.

2. Wakeman Town Farm, Westport: For only $375 per child, it’s cheaper than most “traditional” summer camps! In addition to learning about life on a farm, participants in the Junior Chef Summer Camp get to work alongside local chefs and counselors to pick the freshest ingredients around from the farm, see how organic fruits and veggies grow, and learn to cook and create fun fare, from pickles to smoothies to stir-fries, in our brand-new farm kitchen classroom! It’s seed-to-plate culinary fun with a homegrown spin.

3. Aux Delices, Westport: Aux Delices will offer cooking classes for kids (and adults!) throughout the summer. See the full schedule on their website.

4. Cucina Casilinga, Wilton: Cucina Casilinga will offer two weeks of kids Italian cooking classes: July 26-18 and August 22-24. It costs $300 per child per session. Each day runs from 10:30am-1:30pm. They might even get to bring one of their creations home for the whole family to try! Mangia!
